All about motorcycles. Lots of bike reviews. Race, touring, cruiser or chopper, who cares as longs as it has two wheels and an engine.

It sounds like the Husaberg would be a better choice for commuting, but what about warrantee? And accsesories?
Basiclly, my KTM dealer is very good to me and is located closly and has a large store; the flip side is the Hussy dealer is in the GHETTO...
1.) Husaberg vs KTM= commute?
2.) Husaberg vs KTM= fun/praticality?

Overall best/better Bike?

+1 on the 'bergs

Those things are cool if you can get your hands on one. I rode the 650 enduro once and it made everything else seem like a mild mannered consumer bike.

Probably because the Husabergs are full on race bikes. It was worth all the hassle though cause that thing ripped. I still think the KTM is pretty close though. It is essentially the same company after all. You can expect to see this new KTM 690 motor tweaked and bolted into next years Husaberg...or maybe it's the other way around.

The KTM 690 is a great bike, but I have been spoiled by riding a Husaberg 650 Supermoto for the last 2 years... it weighs about 100 pounds less than the KTM, and the suspension is the same very nice WP stuff as on the KTM. The bike belonged to a shop I worked at, and I was sort of spoiled by the full titanium exhaust and slipper clutch, but if I could afford a bike just for being a total idiot around town and in the hills, it would be a Husaberg 650. The KTM 690 is probably better all-around streetbike, but you owe it to yourself to try the Huzie if you ever get a chance. I still have dreams about it, 5 months after the last time I rode it. 240 lbs of pure moto lust.

Saving up for a 919 (CB900F in Canada, for some reason) this spring...I worked on a lot of bikes, I love KTMs a lot (I have a 400 EXC dirtbike), but I still think Honda makes the best stuff for my purposes.

This thing looks pretty cool. I have a 640 Adventure and can't wait until this thing is out in the states in the enduro Adventure trim.

It's going to be tough to decide between this and the BMW when new motorcycle buying season comes to Missouri.
