As you might have guessed, all I’ve done since my last post was to wait for the snow to disappear and for the rain to wash the salt off the roads. After almost a month of waiting, it finally happened, and just in time for the annual “opening of Bakken” rally. I got the Honda out Wednesday night and Thursday we joined 2000 other motorcycle riders in tyre kicking and bike admiration.

It rained like hell most of the day, and some people think motorcycles can’t run in the rain. So we weren’t as many as we are when the sun is out, which can be around 7000. But despite the dense humidity, spirits where high and it was nice to be back on the road after a long winter.
