Good_motorcycle_route_scotlandThis time around we are riding from Fort William to Mallaig, where you can get a ferry to Isle of Skye (see google maps). The route was recommended to us by some Scottish motorcycle riders. Story goes that since the Skye Bridge became free of charge no one wants to pay for the ferry, and that leaves the road to Mallaig almost unused. There are places on this road you could ride for an entire day just for fun, and if you like large scenic views of mountainous landscapes there’s plenty of that as well. If you don’t want to pay for the ferry to Skye, you’ll have to take the same road back, and that’s not too bad either. All in all there’s around 70 km (43 miles) of road, about one and a half hours of good clean family entertainment, just waiting to make you smile. The sweet rock’n roll you hear in the video is of course Priestess and their song Lay Down.
