Get off your ass and do it

A 82 year old man is going to ride his sausage stand (Huge ass Harley) from coast to coast. I think that’s bloody great. If this doesn’t inspire you to take that ride of a life time trip you always dreamed of, I don’t know what will. Doesn’t matter what bike you have or not, just go.
I have two dreams, actually there’s three, oh! wait four, no there’s also…argh! what the heck. Here’s a few things I’d like to do before I leave this mud ball. Ride to the North Cape (the most northern point in Europe). A road trip through California visiting all the friends I’ve met through my interest in crappy old iron with wheels. To build a salt flats racing contraption of some sort, and break what ever possible record on the Bonneville Salt Flats. That’s just to name a few, and my hunch say that the North Cape one will be checked of by the end off 2009.
Thanks to Helmet Hair reader Scott for bringing this video to my attention.
north cape also on my agenda, but this year did not manage it.
Just as well as my current tires were terrible even on the smooth roads of the alps.
I also have a München, Italy Greece Istanbul, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary Tour in plans.
Cool clip! If I live to be that old, I can only hope to still be able to ride a bike. Even if I have to construct a wheelchair to look like a bike!!
Awsome site you got here. I’ve added it in my favorites!

My 61 year old uncle from Australia(who taught me to ride) is currently riding around Northern India. Love it!
