Motorcycle season has begun and I had the chance to take the bike out a couple of times the last few days, 400 km (250 miles) in all, which means I just passed the 15000 km ( 9.320 miles) mark on the Honda 919. The bike shop SPH Motor had their traditional Easter bike meet (or what ever they call it). Basically they keep the shop open in the holidays, serve hotdogs, and have a selection of bikes you can try for a minimal fee. Riders of all sorts hang out, and check out each others bikes fresh out of their winter hideouts. I also expect that the shop moves a fair amount of accessories over the counter. I got my boots their last year, and a few of the lads got their helmets and what not there as well. It’s a good chance to try bikes you wouldn’t dream of buying, and a good chance to, get hooked on, and buy bikes you wouldn’t have dreamt of trying. Just like the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory. Never really dreamt of trying that bike, until last year when I tried the Aprilia SL 1000 Falco. Now after trying it this weekend, the RSV 1000 R is on my short list. More on why in my next post…
